As you prepare to join us, it's important to come equipped for your volunteering experience. Here’s a checklist of items to bring along to ensure you are comfortable and safe.
Clothing:
Comfortable Clothing: Bring clothes that are appropriate for a range of activities and weather conditions. Layering and hats are recommended for variable temperatures.
Sturdy Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are essential, preferably boots. Depending on the activity, you might need waterproof footwear. We have a small stock of wellington boots if required at any stage.
Personal Items:
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the day.
Sun Protection: Just in case! Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, especially for outdoor activities.
Snacks: Whilst we provide basic ingredients for cooking, feel free to bring any additional items that can be stored in the staff kitchen fridge.
Medication: Any personal medication, including allergy medicine or inhalers.
Technology:
Mobile Phone and charger/power bank (wifi is available on site)
Additional Items:
Books - There'll be plenty of time to relax on site.
Sleeping bag: If you would like to be extra comfortable in case of cold weather, please bring a sleeping bag.
Notebook and Pen: For notes or recording your experience.
Backpack or Bag: To carry your items comfortably.
If you are travelling from afar remember only to carry only what you need – less is often more.
