A Typical Day

Working hours:

Volunteer duties are carried out Monday through Sunday, with each volunteer having two free days weekly. 

We ask that you contribute 5 hours of work each day, not including our lunch break. If you wish to continue to a piece of work beyond that time period in a day, this is at your discretion. 

Timings:

Before 9.00am - Grab breakfast in the staff kitchen in the Octagon building. 

Morning shift as agreed in advance, normally at lunchtime the day before.

1-2pm - Communal lunch. This is our time to eat together, discuss our various projects and ask for support when it's needed. We discuss progress on work and plans for the following days. 

2pm-finish - Afternoon shift.
